Bookkeeper

Immigrated from Nottingham, England 1982 with my family to start a life of sun and fun, well that’s what my parents told me when I was only 19.  It has proven to be a wonderful decision to move here to Sydney.  I married an Aussie boy from Eastern Suburbs and we started off our lives together in Foster NSW to raise our two beautiful daughters.  After 7 years in the sleepy beach side town we moved back to Sydney to start on our careers again.

I have enjoyed working with a variety of industries from hospitality, medical, legal and retail as a personal assistant where I became aware of my interest working with numbers.  This took me to working in a small accounting firm close to home where I developed my bookkeeping and taxation skills over a 15 year period.

In Feb 2018 I joined Gunderson Briggs as a full time bookkeeper working with the most warm and dedicated team.  The expectation of working in the CBD and within a larger firm has proven to be the best decision I have made so far.  Everyone has made me feel so welcome and I think I have adopted the “motherly” role in the office.

I have a passion for travel and have a habit of returning to my favourite place “Disneyland”, it will always be my number one recommendation as it’s the happiest place on earth no matter what age.  I enjoy NRL season and follow the Roosters “GO YOU GOOD THINGS” and have a dabble at skiing when I get the chance.
